faith & fellowship

A place to be known.

Healthcare can be an isolating profession. Not because nurses aren't surrounded by people, but because so few of those people truly understand what the work costs, or what it means to bring your faith into a space that often has no room for it. You may pray quietly over a patient after everyone else has left the room. You may long to offer scripture to a family sitting vigil and instead say nothing. You may wonder, some days, whether the part of you that feels called is being slowly starved. BNF is where that part of you gets to breathe.

Faith and fellowship are not two separate things here.

They are the same thing. When nurses who share your convictions gather to pray, to learn, to sit with one another across a screen or in the same room, something happens that is genuinely hard to describe. You feel less alone. You feel seen. You feel connected to something that is much bigger than your hospital, your unit, or your shift.

That is what this page is about.

prayer connect

Pray with us.

The Prayer Connect is a regular virtual gathering where BNF members and friends come together to pray.

We pray for one another, for the nurses serving on the mission field, for the patients in our care, and for the communities we live in. These are not formal, polished events. They are honest, warm, and sometimes profound in the way that unscripted prayer among believers tends to be.

You do not need to be deeply involved in BNF to join a Prayer Connect. You just need to show up.

submit a prayer request

We would be honored to pray for you.

You can submit a prayer request to BNF whether or not you are a member. Requests must be submitted with the permission of the person being prayed for.

online book club

Reading together, even from a distance.

The BNF book club brings members together around books that speak to the intersection of faith, nursing, and calling. It is one of the quieter ways to stay connected to this community, and often one of the most meaningful.

when you feel called to serve

Fellowship that sends you outward.

Faith and fellowship are the roots. Missions is where those roots grow into something you can share with the world. If your time in this community begins to stir a sense of calling toward mission work, near or far, that is not a coincidence. Follow it. The Missions page is a good next step.

a note for nurses who are rejoining

We're here when you're ready.

Some of the most active members of BNF are people who were part of this community years ago, let life carry them elsewhere, and eventually found their way back. If that is your story, there is no catching up required. The fellowship is still here. The door is still open.
